M. Ashraf
My full name is Muhammad Ashraf. Born and brought up in middle class of Sialkot city, I am University Graduate in Mathematics and English through famous Murray College Sialkot. In year 1959, I qualified for joining Survey of Pakistan, a government department for Surveying & Mapping, Astronomy, Geodesy and Arial Photography, where I qualified prescribed Surveying Courses. Life of accomplishment adventurous assignments thus started.
For a period of above 40 years, I kept busy in professional duties. I worked in various parts of Pakistan, where I lived and worked in most of the undulating, hilly and desert areas. For 4 years, 1979 to 1983, I worked in various parts of Iraq for the Government of Iraq. Eleven years of works as member of teams of European, Egyptian and American engineers, forms part of the total period.
During my travels, I happened to meet peoples of various areas. Visiting various areas and meeting people of variety of cultures, has been a highly valuable experience. I saw the areas where you can simply sit and see for hours with immense divine pleasure and satisfaction. I met and lived with people whom I can never forget. I experienced greedless sincerity and good will that forms permanent and ever fresh memory of my mind. "I shall never let this all go in vain — so help me GOD. Shortly, I am putting my book on process for publication which will bless all such people and scenes with eternal life".

(An account of journeys exclusively based on true picture of areas and the people there. Saddam’s Great Iraq – 10
We continued the projects throughout the war. Projects were kept running at all costs. There are compact raised embankments on the banks of River Dajla and River Faraat, tops of which are used regularly as motorable tracks. These are very good communication source. These link almost all villages with the metalled roads and there from […]
Wishful Prophecies before Site work
To be afraid of a gun that has not fired yet, bears least strategic value. At the same time floating boisterous claims in media months before spade work for a project, give every indication of faltering state of indecision. Such attitude is failure at the very box office. Just note the wishful poetic statement of […]
Eliminating Corrupts from Politics
Greatest service to the state and the nation on the part of sincerely honest patriotic politicians and citizens, is to eternally block way of corrupt politicians for entry into houses of parliament and the governing power chairs. Governing positions must be occupied by honest and truthful patriots. Very simple and doubtlessly effective suggestions for achieving […]
Unusual Collective Retreat
NATO members collated with Americans to invade Afghanistan, on the assumption that every one of them might have to face similar terrorism. Factually there was nothing in the offing even in the remote future. On the contrary they might have endangered themselves for the terrorism after being a part of the invading forces. Spain wisely […]
Saddam’s Great Iraq – 9
This was going to be just the start from Iranian side as we later came to know. The next surprising big attack by Iranians was lunched in vast captured area, in Shush, early in the dark hours of a morning. Thousands of Iraqis were captured, and thousands died without firing any bullet and the rest […]
Choosing Topics to Ridicule a Suffering Nation
The Daily Dawn, dated, March 03, 2013 (Books and Authors section, page 6) has published the account of a discussion at LLF, Lahore. This discussion derogatory to the suffering people of Pakistan should have not been published to save its readers from injuries to their sentiments. Sufferings of people of Pakistan are exclusively due to […]
Professional Journeys’ Narrative – 14
(An account of journeys exclusively based on true picture of areas and the people there. No poetic or romantic false expressions are included, Excerpt from a book in process) To make use of the twilight, I asked the camel man to checkup for any camp around, within about two hundred yard radius. Inspite of so […]
Saddam’s Great Iraq – 8
I was on the project around Fallujah Town. Iran – Iraq War that started during last quarter of 1980 gained full momentum during 1981. Each country blamed the other for starting war. Iran had been passing through a revolutionary period under supreme guidance of Imam Khumaini. When Imam Khumaini was informed that the motherland had […]
Descent of Corruption
Hundred percent eradication of corruption is not possible. It must however remain controlled to indicate governance in a state. Serious corruption in a state affixes sign of interrogation against the political system and competence of the ruling politicians. List of yearly declared corrupt states include many of the developed countries. Most of whom continue to […]
Politicians’ Concern for Young Generation
Pakistani politicians concern for young generation of Pakistan. Facilities for students are neglected. Financial priority is attached to Punjab’s capital Lahore. With thanks from The Daily Dawn from Lahore. No further comments. _
Saddam’s Great Iraq – 7
The next day of April, 1980 was an extra ordinary day, not only on this project but also for four years of my stay in Iraq. I was busy with my team on site. So many other teams were busy with various assignments. An unknown helper left his team, approached me walking quickly and standing […]
